1. Product Nature – Pre-Loved & Vintage

All items offered by The Second Bag Boutique are pre-owned, vintage designer pieces.

By purchasing from our webshop, you acknowledge and accept that:

Items have been previously owned and may show signs of wear consistent with age and prior use.

Condition descriptions are provided as accurately as possible.

Even items described as “excellent condition” are not comparable to brand-new boutique items.

All items are sold in their existing condition.

SHIPPING POLICY

2. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout based on destination and selected shipping method.

All orders are shipped with:

  • Track & Trace
  • Insured shipping

We reserve the right to select the most suitable carrier unless a specific shipping method is selected at checkout.


3. Processing Time

Orders are processed within 1–3 business days after payment confirmation.

Orders placed during weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.

Once shipped, you will receive a tracking confirmation via email.


4. Delivery Times

Estimated delivery times:

  • The Netherlands: 1–2 business days
  • Europe (EU): 2–5 business days
  • Non-EU Europe & Worldwide: 5–21 business days

Delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to:

  • Customs clearance
  • Public holidays
  • Carrier delays

The Second Bag Boutique is not responsible for delays once the parcel has been handed to the shipping carrier.

All items are shipped from Veldhoven, The Netherlands.


5. Customs, Duties & Import Taxes

Orders shipped outside the European Union may be subject to:

  • Import duties
  • VAT
  • Customs clearance fees
  • Tariffs

These charges are the sole responsibility of the customer.

The Second Bag Boutique has no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount.

Please note that certain countries, including the United States, may apply higher import duties or tariffs.

Refusal to pay customs charges resulting in return shipment does not entitle the customer to a refund of original shipping costs or customs fees.


6. Lost or Damaged Shipments

All shipments are insured.

If a parcel is lost during transit, we will initiate an investigation with the carrier. This may take up to 10 business days.

If the carrier confirms loss, a refund will be issued.

We are not responsible for:

  • Parcels marked as delivered by the carrier
  • Theft after confirmed delivery
  • Incorrect addresses provided by the customer

RETURNS POLICY (EU COMPLIANT)

7. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

If you are a consumer residing within the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days after receiving the goods, without giving any reason.

To exercise this right, you must notify us in writing at:

You then have an additional 14 days to return the item.


8. Return Conditions

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be returned in the same condition as received.
  • No additional wear, damage, or use beyond inspection is permitted.
  • All included accessories, dust bags, authenticity cards, and packaging must be returned.
  • Security seals (if applied) must remain intact.

Returns that show signs of additional use or damage may be refused or partially refunded.


9. Return Shipping

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

We strongly recommend insured and trackable shipping.
The customer is responsible for the item until it is safely received by us.

The Second Bag Boutique is not responsible for lost return shipments.


10. Refunds

Once the returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you.

If approved:

  • Refunds will be processed within 5 business days
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable

We reserve the right to withhold reimbursement until the goods have been received.


11. Non-Returnable Situations

We reserve the right to refuse returns if:

  • The item is returned damaged
  • Security tags have been removed
  • The item has been worn or altered
  • The return period has expired

12. Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges.

If you wish to purchase a different item, please return your original order and place a new order separately.
